Topic
Olymp is a sculptural OLED lamp designed by Michael Jurisch to research the acceptance fo OLED in todays environments.
Approach
It can be controlled with Ipads via internet and provides different light scenarios. Beneath changing colors its also changing form to affect sensing of space and privacy
Scope
I was responsible for the interface design, physical computing and control development of the 1.2 x 2.2m object. Its driven by 12 linear motor drivers managed by an node.js application on an raspberry.
